Construction

How this series is built

DPA is a high-tack acrylic removable adhesive applied in a dot pattern. It gives moderate initial tack for easy repositioning during installation, while the air-release channels between the dots enable bubble-free application. With excellent holding power and outstanding weatherability, it resists lifting and deformation over time. It is ideal for smooth surfaces and can be cleanly removed for up to 6 months indoors.

Working, application and storage conditions

  • Working condition: 15℃/59℉ to 30℃/86℉ at 30% to 60% relative humidity.
  • Application condition: -20℃/-4℉ to 60℃/140℉ at 20% to 80% relative humidity. Temperature variation within 30 minutes should stay below 15℃.
  • Store in the original box, out of direct sunlight, at 10℃/50℉ to 35℃/95℉ and 20% to 70% relative humidity.
  • Shelf life: 12 months under the storage condition. Unfinished material should be seal-packed and used up within 1 month.
FAQ

Flexstone® Eco-Film DPA — frequently asked questions

Q1What is the DPA adhesive on Flexstone® Eco-Film?

DPA is a high-tack acrylic removable adhesive applied in a dot pattern. Its moderate initial tack allows the film to be repositioned during installation, and the air-release channels between the dots let trapped air escape so the film applies dry and bubble-free. According to specification sheet NMEQS-MACO 303, it has excellent holding power and resists lifting and deformation over time.

Q2How long can Flexstone® Eco-Film DPA be removed cleanly?

According to the specification sheet, DPA is ideal for smooth surfaces and can be cleanly removed for up to 6 months indoors. That figure applies to indoor use on smooth surfaces; it does not cover rough surfaces or outdoor exposure. For an unfamiliar surface, apply a test piece and check removal before installing a full graphic.

Q3Which grades and printers does Flexstone® Eco-Film DPA cover?

There are five grades. FS-S17-DPA and FS-S22-DPA have the S coating for (eco) solvent, latex and wide-format UV inkjet printing, with 0.17 and 0.22 mm faces. FS-K15-DPA, FS-K20-DPA and FS-K25-DPA have the K coating for wide-format UV inkjet, with 0.15, 0.20 and 0.25 mm faces. Total thickness is the face plus 0.10 mm. Rolls are 50 m long in 1270, 1370 and 1524 mm widths.

Q4How does DPA differ from the WRA removable adhesive?

Both are removable. WRA is a water-based adhesive with medium tack for semi-rough and smooth surfaces, with a rolling-ball initial adhesion of 8–10# steel ball. DPA is a dot-pattern acrylic adhesive with air-release channels for smooth surfaces, with a lower initial adhesion of 6–8# steel ball that allows repositioning. Holding power is the same for both: 0.5 kg on 25 × 25 mm for 24 hours without slide.
