Flexstone Stone Paper Sheets for HP Indigo Digital Presses
Sheet-fed Flexstone for HP Indigo digital presses. The FG grades on specification sheet NMEQS-MACO 298 are supplied as 460 × 320 mm and 480 × 330 mm sheets. Non-adhesive grades are printable on both sides from 0.20 mm to 0.35 mm; two FG grades carry a permanent PSA for one-side printing. The FG grades are rated at 80℃ long-term and 120℃ short-term on specification sheet NMEQS-MACO 298. FS and FM grades are listed in the Label & Hang Tag Solutions programme for HP Indigo, with nominal weight only.
How this series is built
Flexstone Eco-Material replaces wood pulp with calcium carbonate mineral powder compounded with resin, so no trees and no process water are consumed in production. A specially engineered coating ensures excellent ink adhesion, while the warm white, opaque surface reproduces the tonal range and colour fidelity of high-resolution images. The coating is made for HP Indigo digital presses: non-adhesive grades carry it on both sides (2I), while FG-I15-PSA and FG-I20-PSA carry it on one side (I) with a permanent PSA on the other. On the FG grades, specification sheet NMEQS-MACO 298 also lists dry toner, UV curable, offset and screen print.

Working, application and storage conditions
These conditions are the ones printed on this series' specification sheets and apply to the part numbers those sheets list. The brochure-only part numbers in this series have no published working, storage or shelf-life conditions — request their specification sheet.
- Working condition: 15℃/59℉ to 30℃/86℉ at 30% to 60% relative humidity.
- Application condition: -20℃/-4℉ to 60℃/140℉ at 20% to 80% relative humidity. Temperature variation within 30 minutes should stay below 15℃.
- Store in the original box, out of direct sunlight, at 10℃/50℉ to 35℃/95℉ and 20% to 70% relative humidity.
- Shelf life: 12 months under the storage condition. Unfinished material should be seal-packed and used up within 1 month.

Q1Which digital presses can print Flexstone® Digital Press Media?
According to specification sheet NMEQS-MACO 298, the FG-2I grades and the PSA-backed FG-I grades are printable by HP Indigo, dry toner, UV curable, offset and screen print. The Label & Hang Tag Solutions brochure lists the FS-2I and FM-2I grades for HP Indigo and the FG-2I grades for both Indigo and toner. The 2K offset grades use a different coating; specification sheet NMEQS-MACO 293 marks the FS / FG 2K grades from 0.15 to 0.30 mm as not compatible with HP Indigo.
Q2What sheet sizes and thicknesses are available for Flexstone® Digital Press Media?
The FG grades on specification sheet NMEQS-MACO 298 are supplied as 460 × 320 mm and 480 × 330 mm sheets; no sheet size is published for the brochure-only FS-2I and FM-2I grades. Non-adhesive 2I grades are printable on both sides in 0.20, 0.25, 0.30 and 0.35 mm. On NMEQS-MACO 298, FG-2I20 / 25 / 30 / 35 weigh 280±28, 350±35, 420±42 and 490±49 g/m², and the self-adhesive FG-I15-PSA and FG-I20-PSA weigh 310±31 and 380±38 g/m²; the FS and FM 2I grades are lighter at the same thickness and have a nominal weight only. Gloss is 3–8, whiteness is ≥82 (wb) and opacity is ≥90% on the FG-2I grades (NMEQS-MACO 298); the FS-2I and FM-2I grades are listed in the Label & Hang Tag Solutions brochure for HP Indigo with nominal weight only.
Q3Will Flexstone® Digital Press Media withstand the heat of a digital press?
Specification sheet NMEQS-MACO 298 rates the FG-2I grades and the PSA-backed FG-I grades at 80℃ (176℉) long-term, measured in days, and 120℃ (248℉) short-term, measured in minutes. No heat rating is published for the FS-2I and FM-2I grades, which are listed only in the Label & Hang Tag Solutions brochure — request their data sheet before specifying them. The FG limits are intended to suit the blanket and fuser stages of digital presses. Press settings differ between machines, so run a short test on the actual press and confirm feeding, fusing and flatness before a production run.
Q4Is there a self-adhesive version of Flexstone® Digital Press Media?
Yes. FG-I15-PSA and FG-I20-PSA are one-side printable sheets with a permanent PSA adhesive, with face thicknesses of 0.15 and 0.20 mm and total thicknesses of 0.25 and 0.30 mm. The adhesive holds 0.5 kg on a 25 × 25 mm area for 24 hours without slide, and its rolling-ball initial adhesion is 8–10# steel ball within 100 mm (GB/T 4852-2002). Removable -RSA label grades are listed in the Label & Hang Tag Solutions brochure only; no part-number page or test data is published for them.
